Output
In this activity, you will create a simple working circuit using an LED light, a
battery, a resistor, and a switch. When the switch is turned on, the LED will
light up, showing how electricity flows through the circuit to make the light
work. This activity will help You understand how everyday electronics, like
lights, work.
Concepts
1. Electricity and Circuits: You will learn how electricity flows through a
circuit to power things like lights. The battery provides the energy, and the
LED (light) turns on when the switch is flipped. This is how many things in
our homes, like lights and toys, work.
2. The Role of a Resistor: The resistor helps control the amount of electricity
flowing to the LED, so it doesn’t get too much energy. It keeps the LED safe
from burning out, teaching You that sometimes we need to slow down the
energy in a circuit.
Observations
During the “Creating a Working Circuit” activity, You will observe how the LED
light turns on when the switch is flipped, and the circuit is completed. You will
notice:
• The LED lights up when electricity flows through the circuit.
• The resistor makes sure the light works safely without too much energy.
• The switch controls the flow of electricity, turning the light on and off.
Application
Have you noticed that when we press the switch,
the light goes on and off. When we press the
switch, it completes the circuit and allows current
to flow through it which results to turn on the
light and when we press the switch again it breaks
the circuit due to which current doesn’t passes
through it hence light turn off.
