Output
In this activity, You will write a simple program
to make the micro:bit show different emojis
(happy face, heart, etc.) on its screen. You
will use a computer to create the program,
and once done, the micro:bit will display the
emoji when turned on. Here you can see the
heart emoji on the micro:bit display screen.
Concepts
• Programming Basics: You will learn how to write a program on the computer
that tells the micro:bit what to do, like showing a happy face or a heart emoji.
• Displaying Emojis: You will learn how to choose different emoji designs and
display them on the micro:bit’s screen, which has tiny lights that form the
emoji.
Observations
In the Displaying Emojis activity, You will observe:
• When the program is run, the micro:bit will light up and show the emoji on
its small screen.
• You can change the emoji in their program to make different pictures appear,
like a heart or a smiley face.
• You will see how computers and coding can be used to create fun designs
and images.
Application
You may have noticed that a smart watch has
multiple icons, each representing a different
function, like calling, messaging, or using the
calculator. These icons act as shortcuts to specific
apps, making it easy to access various features
with just a tap.
