Step 4 Adding Resistor and LED
Search for an “LED” and a “Resistor.”
Place the LED on the breadboard with its anode (long leg)
connected to one of the breadboard rows.
Place the resistor between the cathode (short leg) of the LED
and the ground rail on the breadboard. This will limit the current
flowing through the LED.
Step 5 Wiring the Circuit
Use the wiring tool to connect:
The positive rail of the breadboard to the anode of the LED.
The cathode of the LED (through the resistor) to the ground rail.
Ensure the wires are colour-coded (typically red for positive,
black for ground) for clarity.
