Step 6 Place the Battery
Connect the Positive Terminal:
Connect the positive terminal of the 9V battery to the input pin
of the voltage regulator.
Connect the Ground Terminal:
Connect the negative terminal of the 9V battery to the GND rail
of the breadboard.
