Try It Yourself Activity Century #Technology Literacy
Skills
Activity: Build a Traffic light signal for your locality using LED Circuit in Tinkercad
1. Use a breadboard, a 9V battery, 3 different coloured LEDs (namely Red,
Yellow, Green) and a resistor.
2. Place the LEDs on the breadboard, connect the resistor to the cathode of each
LEDs, and wire the common positive terminal to the battery.
3. Run the simulation to see the Traffic Light simulation using LED light up.
How to complete the lab:
1. Drag a breadboard, an LED, and a resistor to the workspace.
2. Connect the LED’s anode to the breadboard’s positive rail.
3. Attach the resistor between the cathode and the ground rail.
4. Run the simulation to check if the LED glows.

Scenario-Based Questions Century #Creativity
Skills
1. Scenario 1: You are setting up a decorative lighting system for a holiday event.
How would you use the mood light circuit in Tinkercad to create colourful
lighting effects?
2. Scenario 2: Imagine you are designing a smart home system where lights
turn on when someone enters a room. How can Tinkercad help you simulate
such a system?
