                 Introduction to Block-Based Programming

                    • Block-based programming is an easy and enjoyable way to learn to code,
especially for beginners. You can program the micro:bit by dragging and

dropping colourful blocks that fit together like puzzle pieces using the
MakeCode IDE. With this method, learning how to code does not involve
                    typing out difficult commands.

                    • You can use MakeCode to write programs that allow their micro:bit to react
to buttons and sensors, play music, show images, and control lights. Each

block may be easily joined to create a program, and each one represents a
unique action, like “play a sound” or “show a heart.”
