Circuits: A circuit is a closed loop that lets electricity flow. It has a power
source, wires, and devices like lights or motors. If there’s a break in the
circuit, the electricity can’t flow, and everything stops working.
Tinker Orbits Kit Components
The objective of the Tinker Orbits Kit is to teach the fundamentals of coding
and robotics through engaging, interactive learning. The kit encourages
interactive activities that teach basic skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
Using the Tinker Orbits Kit, you learn about basic electronics and explore fundamental ideas in
STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) while building and also programming
your own robotic models. The components of Tinker orbits kit are:
Power Distribution Board
A Power Distribution Board is a special type of block that is used to connect
various input and output devices. It has three input and three output ports, and
we can use them using connecting wires.
(To get the desired result, the input and output port numbers should be the
same).
Connecting Wires
Wires are super important in any electronic circuit. They connect the different component
together to complete the activity and learn about electronic components functionality.
Without wire, there is no way to connect to components.
Input Blocks
The components of Input blocks are:
Moment Button (Switch) Block
The components of input blocks are:
A switch is a device that designed to make or break a circuit. Mainly, a switch can
perform two functions: on or off. So, when you press the switch, it will turn on the
device, and when you press again, the device turns off.
Applications
The Moment button(switch) is used in:
Torches: Used to turn the torch on or off.
Fans: Controls whether the fan is spinning or not.
Radios: Switches the radio between on and off.
