If they encounter any issues, they practice troubleshooting their code and connections. Overall, this
hands-on experience deepens their understanding of programming, electronics, and the practical
applications of displays in technology.
Applications
The uses of OLED screens are:
Smartphones and Tablets: OLED screens are
used in most of the smartphones and tablets
these days because they provide bright
colours, deep blacks, and clear images, while
also saving battery power.
Televisions: OLED TVs are popular for their
excellent picture quality and slim design,
making them great for watching movies,
gaming, and home entertainment.
Smart Soil System
A soil moisture system helps to measure how much water or moisture is in the soil.
When the soil is dry, the system can turn on a watering system to give the plants the right amount
of water. This helps keep plants healthy and saves water by only watering when needed.
Soil Moisture Sensor
Soil moisture sensors measure the water content in the soil and can be
used to estimate the amount of stored water in the soil horizon. Soil
moisture sensors do not measure water in the soil directly. Instead, they
measure changes in some other soil property that is related to water
content in a predictable way.
The soil moisture sensor is commonly used in smart agriculture or other
garden automation projects to measure the moisture content present in
the soil.
It consists of 4 pins in which two pins, Vcc and Gnd are connected to supply voltage. The remaining
two pins are digital (D0) and analog (A0) are the output pins.
Learning Objectives
The learning objective of the Smart Soil System project is to teach students how to design and
implement an electronic system that monitors soil moisture using a soil moisture sensor, displays
the moisture level on an OLED display, and triggers an audible alarm (sound on a buzzer) when the
moisture level drops below a certain threshold.
