Step 4 Connect the positive terminal of the battery to the input
terminal of the 7805 voltage regulator IC.
Step 5 Connect the ground terminal of the 7805 IC to the
negative terminal of the battery.

Step 6 Connect the output terminal of the 7805 IC (+5V) to the
positive rail of the breadboard.

Step 7 Place the LED on the breadboard.

Step 8 Place a resistor on the breadboard as shown in the image.

Short Lead Step 9 Connect the shorter lead (cathode) of the
(Cathode)
LED to the ground terminal of the 7805 IC.

Longer Lead
(Anode)

Step 10 Now, connect the longer lead (anode) of the LED to the
second end of the resistor as shown in the image.
