Circuit Setup Steps

Step 1 Take a breadboard.

Step 2 Connect the 7805 voltage regulator IC to the breadboard as shown.

Step 3 Take a battery and connect the battery cap.

Step 4 Connect the positive terminal of the battery to the input
terminal of the 7805 voltage regulator IC.

Step 5 Connect the ground terminal of the 7805 IC to the negative
terminal of the battery.

Step 6 Connect the output terminal of the 7805 IC (+5V) to the
positive rail of the breadboard.

Step 7 Connect the ground terminal of
the 7805 IC (0V) to the negative
rail of the breadboard.

Step 8 Insert an NPN transistor and
LDR sensor into the breadboard.
