Step 9 Now, place a 220-ohm resistor on the breadboard so that one end of the resistor connects
to the common pin of the segment and the other end connects to the negative rail of the
breadboard.
Step 10 Connect all the remaining pins of the 7-segment display to the positive rail of the breadboard
as shown in the image.
Circuit Operation
When the 9V battery is connected to the circuit, the 7805 voltage regulator IC steps down the
voltage to a stable 5V. This regulated voltage powers the 7-segment display. By connecting specific
pins of the display to the power and ground, individual segments light up to form numbers.
