required. This demonstrates the practical application of sensors in monitoring environmental
conditions and assisting in decision-making.
Application
Smart Irrigation Systems: Soil moisture sensors are used in smart irrigation systems to automatically
water plants based on their moisture levels. When the soil becomes too dry, the sensor sends a signal
to the irrigation system to turn on the water. This ensures that plants receive the right amount
of water, preventing overwatering or underwatering. This application helps conserve water and
promotes healthier plant growth.
IR Sensors for Parking Assistance
IR Sensor Block
An IR sensor is a special sensor that can sense when something is nearby by detecting
invisible infrared light which is not visible to our eyes.
An IR sensor consists of two LEDs:
The blue LED works as a transmitter, sending out the infrared light,
while the black LED functions as a receiver, catching the transmitted
infrared light.
Servo image
A servo motor is a special type of motor that can be controlled very
precisely. It is used in many devices where exact movements are needed. For
example, in toys, robots, and remote-controlled cars, servo motors help move
parts like arms, wheels, or steering.
Servo motors are unique because they can rotate to a specific angle and hold
that position, unlike regular motors that just spin continuously. They work by
receiving signals from a controller, which tells them how far to turn and when to stop. This allows
for smooth and accurate movements, making them very useful in robotics and automation projects.
