Levers
Think of a seesaw. A crane has levers that allow it to lift heavy objects by
applying force at one end.
Pulleys
These are wheels with ropes that help move things up and down more
easily, just like how you might pull a bucket up from a well.
Motors
These provide power to move the crane’s arm. The motor converts
electrical energy into mechanical movement to operate the crane
smoothly.

Robo-Crane Using the Mechatron Kit
Overview
The Robo Crane project is a unique learning activity that teaches us
about robots, mechanical systems, and electronics. It functions like a
robotic crane, capable of lifting and moving objects. By constructing
and studying this crane, we gain a better understanding of how its
components work together and how such machines operate in real life.
Learning Objective
Students will understand the basic principles of mechanical systems and how they apply to robotic
designs, specifically in lifting and moving objects.
Students will explore how different electronic components work together to control and operate
a robotic system.
Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to assemble a robotic crane and explain its key mechanical and electronic
parts.
Students will demonstrate how the Robo Crane can lift and move objects, applying their knowledge
of robotics and machinery.
