Step 4 Decide how to handle the missing values. You can either:
u Remove the corresponding rows
u Enter appropriate values manually
u Fill them with a placeholder such as “NA”
Suppose we decide to fill each blank cell with the value from the previous cell. To do this, click in the formula
bar, type =, and then click on the previous cell whose value you want to copy. Finally, press Ctrl + Enter to fill the
selected blank cells with the corresponding values.
You now have all values filled in the respective cells.

Correct Spelling and Typing Errors

Spelling and typing errors can make your data unclear or misleading. Therefore, it is a good practice to check your
dataset for spelling and typing mistakes.
Step 1 Click on the Spelling option in the Review tab to start the spell check.
The Spelling dialog box appears. This dialog box show words that are spelled incorrectly. For example, the
word ‘Excellent’ in the Rating column may be marked as incorrect.
Step 2 Click on the Change All button to correct the spelling from Excelent to Excellent in all the relevant cells.
