            Measuring Weights

            To find the weight of an object, we use a balance and some other objects.

            Look at the balance shown here.

            One pan has a pineapple and the other pan has five
            apples.

            The pans are balanced.

            So, the weight of the pineapple is equal to the weight of 5 apples.
