                                                            Ginladi
Give each student a piece of thread (preferably waxed thread or any

non-slip thread for easy bead placement).
Provide a small bowl with a variety of colourful beads.
Show students how to thread a bead onto the string.

Ask them to count how many beads they have used
                    after each step.
Ask students to tie the two ends together to create a circle.

Next, give some students a single colour beads for making
the set of ten. Ask them to put 10 beads on the string.
Now, join them to make the ginladi longer, such as with 20, 30, 40, and

so on up to 100 beads.

Note: Use the ginladi to count, compare, and add the numbers.

                For example, 13 < 17
