            Reading Time when the Minute Hand is at 6

            The minute hand moves faster and it takes one hour to go around the clock.

            If it starts from 12 and goes around to get back to 12, it means one hour has
            passed. When the minute hand goes from 12 to 6, it means half an hour has

            passed.

            In this clock, the minute hand is at 6. The hour hand is between

            3 and 4. We say that the time is three thirty or half past three.

            We write it as 3:30.

                             In this clock, the minute hand is at 6.

                             The hour hand is between 6 and 7.                           Common Mistake
                             We say that the time is six thirty or                   4.30         4:30  

                             half past six. We write it as 6:30.
