                MONEY

Kavita went Diwali shopping to the market with her parents. She saw that

her mother bought decorative material, diyas, sweets and clothes and each
time she gave money to the shopkeeper. After coming home, she asked her

mother why she gave money to the shopkeepers. Her mother explained that
we use money to buy things we need. We use notes and coins as money and
count them as rupees and paise.

‘`’ is used for rupees and ‘p’ for paise.
