Solution.

Step 1. Add the ones. Step 2. Add the tens and regroup.

0 + 5 = 5 ones 5 + 7 = 12 tens = 1 hundred + 2 tens

So, 50 + 75 = 125.

Example 3. Add 64 and 63.

Solution.

Step 1. Add the ones. Step 2. Add the tens and regroup.
