            REGROUPING NUMBERS FOR SUBTRACTION


            Sometimes, there are not enough ones to subtract from. In such situations,
            we need to regroup.

                                                       1 ten = 10 ones

                  23 = 2 tens 3 ones = 1 ten 13 ones               36 = 3 tens 6 ones = 2 tens 16 ones

            Some more examples:

            a.  3 tens + 5 ones  =  2 tens + 1 ten + 5 ones

                                         =  2 tens + 10 ones + 5 ones =  2 tens + 15 ones
