Same digits in the hundreds and tens places
When the digits in the hundreds and tens places are the same, then compare
the digits in the ones place.
Example 4. Compare 782 and 780.

7 8 2 7 8 0 For 3-digit numbers, if the
hundreds and tens digits are
the same, the number with the
7 = 7 greater digit in ones place is the
8 = 8 greater.
2 > 0
So, 782 > 780 or 780 < 782.
