            how to draw a Circle

            A circle can be drawn simply by tracing the outline of circular objects like a coin,

            bangle, cup, etc. To draw a circle with a given radius, we use a pencil, a compass,

            and a ruler.

            example 1. Draw a circle of radius 3 cm.

             Step 1. Place the pointed end of the Step 2. Place the pointed end of the
                        compass at the 0 mark of the compass on the paper and hold
                        ruler. Stretch the other arm of the upper end firmly. Rotate the
                        the compass to the 3 cm mark pencil arm keeping the pointed
                        on the ruler.                                        arm fixed.

                                                                                                      Centre of
                                                                                                      the circle

            Now, using a compass, make the following design.
                        Step 1.                       Step 2.                            Step 3.

            You can also try other designs of your choice.

            Relationship between the Radius and diameter of a Circle

            The diameter of a circle is two times the radius.

                                                   Diameter = 2 × Radius

            If we know the length of the radius of a circle, we can find the length of its diameter

            and vice versa.
