            A reflection is like a mirror image. The figure does not change
            in size on being reflected.

            In the adjoining figure, image P has been flipped over about
            the line to make image Q. Here, image Q is the reflection of

            Here are some more examples of reflections.












            example. Kavita visited the hospital where she saw an ambulance. She was confused
            and surprised. Why is ‘AMBULANCE’ written as                                AMBULANCE  ? Can you think and tell
            why?















            Solution. The word ‘AMBULANCE’ is written in reverse on the front of an ambulance
            so that drivers ahead can read the word correctly in their rear view mirrors.
