tessellations
We can see designs made using tiles on walls or floors. In such designs, the tiles fit
into each other without leaving any gaps or without overlapping. Such tiling patterns
are called tessellations.
Shapes which can form tessellation patterns are called tessellating shapes. These
are tessellating shapes.
Shapes which do not form tessellation patterns are called non-tessellating shapes.
These are non-tessellating shapes.
