Solution. a. 8:42 p.m. = 20:42 hours b. 12:31 a.m. = 00:31 hours

example 2. Convert the following into the 12-hour format.
a. 15:36 hours b. 06:47 hours

Solution. a. 15:36 hours = 3:36 p.m. b. 06:47 hours = 06:47 a.m.
