Rule: To convert days into hours, we multiply the number of days by 24.
example 1. Convert the following into hours. units of Time Conversion
a. 8 days b. 3 days 8 hours
1 day = 24 hours
Solution. a. 8 days = 8 × 24 hours = 192 hours 1 hour = 60 minutes
b. 3 days 8 hours = 3 days + 8 hours
= 3 × 24 hours + 8 hours 1 minute = 60 seconds
= 72 hours + 8 hours = 80 hours
