a.m. (ante-meridiem): Denotes time from 12 midnight to 12 noon.
p.m. (post-meridiem): Denotes time from 12 noon to 12 midnight.
The 24-hour clock tells the time using 4 digits (HHMM).
• The first two digits show hours (00 to 23).
• The last two digits show minutes (00 to 59).
• For p.m. times (after noon), typically add 12 to the hour
(e.g., 3:00 p.m. = 03:00 + 12:00 = 15:00 hours).
Time can be converted between different units using standard relationships:
1 minute = 60 seconds, 1 hour = 60 minutes, 1 day = 24 hours, 1 week = 7 days.
The above relationships can be used, when needed, to regroup in the addition and
subtraction of time.
