                Pictographs  and bar graphs are used  to  represent  data.  They help to  present
                information in a way that is easy to interpret and understand.

                When pictures are used to represent information, it is called a pictorial representation.
                Pictorial representations are known as pictographs.

                Example 1. The following table  shows the  data  collected  regarding  the  number  of
                bottles sold by a milk-booth in a particular week. Represent it using a pictograph.

                Solution. To represent the above data pictorially, we choose a milk bottle as a symbol.
                Let the symbol of one milk bottle represent 10 milk bottles.
