                Solve the following word problems:

                    1.  The cost of 8 bats is `35,600. Find the cost of one bat.

                   2.  Keshav spent `8,470 on 7 trips to Agra. How much did each trip cost him?
                   3.  A computer  operator  composes  1800 words in 24 minutes.  How many

                       words does he compose in a minute?
                   4.  The cost of one pen is `18. How many pens can be bought for `648?

                  5.  There are 10 notebooks of the same kind. If the total number of pages in them is 1450,
                       find the number of pages in each notebook.

                  6.  If 816 students are divided into 12 groups with an equal number of students in each
                       group, how many students are there in each group?

                   7.  A set of 24 CDs contains 3048 music videos. How many music videos are
                       contained in each CD?

                  8.  There are 690 balls in 30 boxes. Find the number of balls in each box, if
                       each box has the same number of balls.
                  9.  Rani collected 4788 stamps of different countries in 38 weeks. How many
                       stamps did she collect in each week, if the number of stamps collected by

                       her in each week is the same?
                  10.  Divide the greatest  4-digit  number by the greatest  2-digit  number. Do you  get  a

                       remainder?











                    Two division facts can be obtained from one multiplication fact.

                    If a number is divided by 1, the quotient is the number itself.
                    If a number is divided by itself, the quotient is 1 (except when the number is zero).

                    If zero is divided by a number (except 0), the quotient is zero.
                    The relation between the divisor, quotient, remainder and dividend is:

                                            Quotient × Divisor + Remainder = Dividend
