The first five multiples of 2 are 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10.
3 × 1 = 3 3 × 2 = 6 3 × 3 = 9 3 × 4 = 12 3 × 5 = 15
The first five multiples of 3 are 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15.

Solution. The first five even numbers are 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. Multiply each of these even
numbers by 9.
9 × 2 = 18 9 × 4 = 36 9 × 6 = 54 9 × 8 = 72 9 × 10 = 90
The first five even multiples of 9 are 18, 36, 54, 72 and 90.
