            What did you observe?
            Letters with only a vertical line of symmetry: A, m, t, u, V, W, y

            Letters with only a horizontal line of symmetry: B, C, d, e,

Letters with both vertical and horizontal lines of symmetry: H, I, o, X

            Letters with no line of symmetry: F, G, J, L, N, P, Q, r, S, Z

            Lines of Symmetry in Numbers

Some digits from 0 to 9 have lines of symmetry. Check some of these and try to identify
            their lines of symmetry.

more than one Line of Symmetry
Some figures have one line of symmetry. Look at the following figures.

                    Isosceles triangle Semicircle Arrow Kite

Some figures have more than one line of symmetry. Observe the following figures.

                     Rectangle Equilateral triangle Square Circle
(2 lines of symmetry) (3 lines of symmetry) (4 lines of symmetry) (infinite lines of symmetry)

The line of symmetry creates the mirror image (or reflection)
            of a figure.
You can easily draw the mirror image or reflection of a
            figure using square grid paper.

If you place a mirror along the line of symmetry, you can
see the other half of the symmetrical figure (see adjoining
            figure).
