When a shape is rotated through an angle, it is called a turn. It may be a quarter turn,
half turn, or full turn.
Quarter turn
A quarter turn means rotating a shape through an angle of 90°.
Look at the following pairs of shapes. Each pair shows a shape in the original position
and after a quarter turn.
Some shapes look the same even after a quarter turn.
Half turn
A half turn means rotating a shape through an angle of 180°.
Observe the shapes given below. Each shape turns by half.
