Perimeter

We have learnt about perimeter in the previous class. We
know that the perimeter is the distance around the boundary 1

The perimeter of this poster is 5 units + 4 units + 5 units 1 2 3 4 5

Perimeter on a Square Grid

A grid is made up of a number of unit squares. We know that the perimeter of

a figure is the total length of its boundary. When regular or irregular shapes are
drawn on a grid, we can find the perimeter by counting the edges of the unit
squares along the boundary.
