                Students will learn how to read bills, understand the details recorded and practise
                handling money through a fun role-play activity.
                Step 1: Collect and Discuss Real Bills

                •  Students need to bring real or photocopied bills from their home (like grocery bills,
                    restaurant bills or stationery bills).

                •  In groups, students will identify and discuss the information on the bills, such as:
                    ♦  Name of the shop                            ♦  Date of purchase
                    ♦  List of items bought                        ♦  Quantity and price of each item

                    ♦   Total amount                               ♦  Taxes (if any)
                Step 2: Role-Play: Shopkeeper and Customer

                •  Set up a classroom market with small stalls such as:
                    Kavya�s Kirana        Ayaan�s Toy World          Reema�s Book          Yash�s Fruit Shop
                          Store            (toys and games)              Corner                (fruits and
                    (grocery items)                                   (books and              vegetables)
                                                                       stationery)













                    •  Students will take turns being shopkeepers and customers.
                    •   Shopkeepers will prepare simple bills with 2–3 items and their prices.
                       For example:
