            Adding a few consecutive numbers is easy and can be done mentally. Let us learn how
            to do it.

            a. Adding an odd number of Consecutive terms

            rule: Sum = Middle term × Number of terms

            example 1. 24 + 25 + 26 = ?                         example 2. 71 + 72 + 73 + 74 + 75 + 76 + 77 = ?

            Solution. Number of terms = 3 Solution. Number of terms = 7

                         Middle term = 25                                   Middle term = 74

                         Sum = 25 × 3 = 75                                  Sum = 74 × 7 = 518

            example 3. 12 + 13 + 14 + 15 + 16 + 17 + 18 + 19 + 20 =?

            Solution. Number of terms = 9

                         Middle term = 16

                         Sum = 16 × 9 = 144
