                                                 The King’s generous reward

Once upon a time, a wise king wanted to reward his three loyal ministers. He summoned them
to his royal court and said:
“You have all served the kingdom with great wisdom and loyalty. As a special reward, I offer
you three choices for receiving gold coins. Think carefully before you choose!”
                Here were the choices:

                    • option 1: Start with 5 gold coins, and the amount will double every day for 7 days.
                    • option 2: Start with 3 gold coins, and the amount will triple every day for 7 days.
                    • option 3: Start with 1 gold coin, and the amount will be multiplied by 5 every day for

                       7 days.
                Each minister chose as follows:
                    • Minister 1 chose option 1 (5 coins, doubling daily)
                    • Minister 2 chose option 2 (3 coins, tripling daily)

                    • Minister 3 chose option 3 (1 coin, multiplied by 5 daily)
The king gave them their starting amounts, and for 7 days, the coins multiplied just as promised.
Can you figure out which minister ended up with the most gold coins after 7 days? Calculate

the total number of gold coins each minister received by the end of the week. Which reward
                would you have chosen?
