                Converting an improper Fraction into a Mixed Fraction

                To convert an improper fraction into a mixed fraction, follow these steps:

                Step 1. Divide the numerator by the denominator.
                Step 2. The quotient becomes the whole number, the remainder becomes the new
                          numerator, and the denominator remains the same.
                                         18
                Example 1. Convert into a mixed fraction.
                                          5

                Solution. On dividing 18 by 5, we get:

                Quotient = 3, Remainder = 3

                Thus, 3 is the whole number, 3 is the numerator, and
                5 is the denominator.

                         18      3
                Hence,       =  3 .
