You have seen various smart devices like smart washing machine, smart watch,
                  smart television, etc. Most of the smart devices are made to help us in doing our

                  work fast and efficiently. Similarly, robots are also made to help us.

                      WHAT IS A ROBOT?

                  A robot is a smart machine. It can resemble human

                  behaviour and can perform various tasks. Even, a
                  robot can perform tasks that are very difficult for
                  a human to do. The robots that look like humans
                  are known as humanoid robots.

                  Real robots have been around for more than 50
                  years! Let us look at few real-world examples.


                      POPULAR ROBOTS

                  Nowadays, robots are used in various places like hospital, school, home, etc. Let us
                  learn about some of the popular robots.



                                                     AIBO


                                                     A lovable robotic dog whose personality and behaviour
                                                     changes  with  time.  It  has  the  ability  to  identify  its
                                                     owner's  face,  pick up  smiles  and  compliments, and
                                                     learn new skills. It also enjoys being petted.




                  MITRA


                  Mitra  is  a  five  feet  tall  humanoid  Indian  robot  that
                  can  converse  intelligently  with  people.  It  can  speak,
                  recognise faces, and provide relevant guidance. It can
                  also  understand  many  different  languages.  It  greets
                  customers.




                                                        NURO

                                                        Nuro is a delivery robot to deliver food items like
                                                        pizza. It is driverless. Customers simply need to wait
                                                        outside for the robot to arrive, enter an access pin
                                                        to unlock the door, and then retrieve their food.
