ROBEAR

Robear is a high-tech nursing robot. It looks like a teddy bear.
It is used to lift a patient from a bed onto a wheelchair.

                                                      CYBERDOG

CyberDog is a four-legged robot. It can move

as quickly as 3.2 metres per second. It can follow
the motion of objects. It avoids obstacles when
                                                      moves.

                 ROOMBA

A robot vacuum cleaner that automatically cleans
floors moves around the house on its own, using
sensors to avoid obstacles like furniture. It can clean
different surfaces, such as carpets and tiles, and
returns to its charging station when the battery is
                 low.

                     ADVANTAGES OF ROBOTS

Some of the advantages of robots are as follows:

                 • Robots never get bored.
                 • Robots can keep doing the same thing repeatedly.

                 • Robots work with high accuracy.
                 • Robots do not require the same conditions as people do, such as lighting, air
                   conditioning, or noise protection.

                 • Robots can work in places that are dangerous for humans.

                     DISADVANTAGES OF ROBOTS

Robots have few disadvantages also. Let us study those too:

                 • Robots are very expensive.
                 • Robots cannot think on their own.
