PREFACE

When I was a student, robots were something we saw only in science fiction films. Today, they are very much part of our
reality. We live in an era where robotics is not merely a buzzword but a driving force transforming how we live and work.
From hospital wards to living rooms, robots assist doctors in surgeries, deliver essential supplies, clean our floors, and
even keep us company. As of 2023, more than 4.3 million robots are at work in factories across the globe. The robotics
revolution is here, and it continues to grow at a remarkable pace.

This rapid transformation means education must evolve too. The next generation needs the knowledge and skills to work
alongside robots, and even to design and build them. Robotics education is not just about learning to code or assemble
parts; it is about sparking creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. I have seen first-hand how a simple robotics project
can light up a student’s eyes with curiosity. Robots, once confined to stories of imagination, have now found their place in
classrooms and are positively influencing how children learn. With growing awareness and accessibility, robotics kits and
tools have become affordable for schools, making this the perfect time to integrate robotics into teaching and learning.

To the Educators : You are the mentors guiding young minds through this exciting landscape. Your role in this robotics
revolution is crucial, you are not only teaching technical skills but also inspiring students to think, create, and innovate.
This book has been designed with you in mind, offering a step-by-step journey through the world of robotics. Each
chapter builds upon the last, from understanding basic mechanical systems to exploring computing, control, and
real-world applications. You are encouraged to adapt the lessons, promote hands-on exploration, and share your
own insights. Robotics is a powerful interdisciplinary subject that blends physics, mathematics, computer science, and
creativity. By teaching robotics, you are preparing students with 21st-century skills for the challenges and opportunities
of the future, including jobs that do not yet exist. I hope this book helps you make robotics an exciting and meaningful
                 part of your curriculum.
To the Students : You are the innovators and change-makers of tomorrow. This book invites you into the fascinating
world of robotics, a world where machines move, think, and respond. As you read, you will discover how gears, circuits,
and code come together to create robots that solve real-world problems. Do not be afraid to experiment. Try out the
examples, build your own creations, and stay curious. If something feels challenging, remember that every great inventor
began with the basics and succeeded through perseverance. By learning robotics, you are not just using technology,
you are learning to shape it for the better. One day, you may design a robot that improves countless lives. Keep that
excitement alive as you explore these pages, the future of robotics depends on minds like yours.

In writing this book, my goal was to make robotics learning practical, engaging, and accessible for both students and
educators. You will find a balance of theory, examples, and real-world insights throughout. I encourage you to discuss,
experiment, and enjoy the process — robotics is best learned through doing. Embrace the challenges, celebrate the
breakthroughs, and do not be discouraged by setbacks; even the best robots need many trials to perform perfectly.
I am deeply grateful to all teachers who dedicate themselves to nurturing young learners, and to the students whose
enthusiasm continues to inspire. It is my sincere hope that this book sparks a lifelong passion for innovation, creativity,
and technology. Together as teachers and students, we can turn today’s imagination into tomorrow’s reality.
