                           HOW A COMPUTER WORKS?

You know that a computer cannot function on its own. It needs instructions to
work. Let us observe how the IPO cycle works in daily life.

WASHING CLOTHES IN A WASHING MACHINE

In this example, dirty clothes and washing powder are the inputs. We are
washing the clothes as a set of processes. So, washing clothes is the process.

We get clean clothes as the output.

                                                                 Process
                                 (Input) (Process) clean clothes
                                                                                                    (Output)

                 CALCULATING NUMBERS

If we are asked to add the numbers 10 and 5.

                                                 10 5 + = ?

To add these numbers, we will use our brain to think and calculate.

                                10,5,+ 10 + 5 15

                                 Input Process Output
