NUMBER PYRAMID

In a number pyramid, the number in each space is 9

the sum of the two numbers below it. 5 4

Start with a space, which has two filled adjoining
                   spaces below it. 3 2 2
Here blue circle is the sum of two green circles. 2 1 1 1
                   Therefore, blue circle is 2 + 1 = 3.
We can get the remaining numbers by following the same pattern.

                           NUMBER GRID

In a number grid each grid is replaced by the value of its result. Let us start filling
the numbers in the grid by solving each grid.
We usually start with the number at the centre. Here, it is 30.

                                          10 less
                                          than 30

                                                      1 more
                               1 less than
                             than 30 10+20 30 30

                                         10 more
                                         than 30

Now, fill the remaining places in the grid according to the instruction given in
                   each box.

                           SECRET MESSAGE: DECODING

Decoding is the process of converting a hidden message to a meaningful

text. The hidden message or secret message can be in the form of a symbol,

number, picture, letter, or a pattern.

For example, if 1 2 3 then the secret message

                                        will be decoded as 132112.

                                                                                            Reasoning and Analysis 77
