If the owner of a trademark finds out that their trademark is being used wrongly, they can file a lawsuit and ask for
              compensation.

              15.6.3 Digital Rights Management
Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a way to control and limit access to intellectual property by using technology.
It prevents unauthorised content distribution and modification and safeguards the rights of the author. DRM allows
writers, musicians, filmmakers, and other content producers to specify and set restrictions on what users can and
cannot do with their creations. DRM can stop app users from taking screenshots of the app’s outputs or internal
              content.

Watermarking is the process of embedding a logo or a mark on multimedia content. It helps content creators in
proving the ownership of their work.

              15.7 Open Data

Open data is information that anyone can access, use, and share, possibly with the requirement that the source of the
data be cited. Open data has the following characteristics:

              ● It is accessible in a user-friendly and adaptable format.
              ● The data must be freely available for download via the internet.
              ● The data must be re-usable and redistributable.
Uses of open data: As many organisations share and collaborate on diverse datasets, open data allows data to be
interoperable, which not only boosts communication but also expands possibilities for future research. Open data
enables individuals, businesses, and governments to benefit the environment, the economy, and society. Some
              examples of open-data applications are:
              ● It creates chances for businesses to connect with customers.
              ● It promotes policy and service transparency between the government and citizens.

              ● It aids in the development of technology, possibly leading to early detection of natural disasters and their notification
                 to the affected people.

              15.8 Licensing

A licence is an agreement between a person or an organisation that wants to use software and the company that owns
it. While purchasing the software, the user must agree to the conditions of the licence. Paid software comes with a
licence key or product key that is used to activate the software. A software licence states the rights of the developer. It
includes how the software should be used. It also includes some terms and conditions about how the software should
be used, as well as limitations on liability, disclaimers, and any warranties that apply.
